English: We began spring in Buenos Aires in great style! Last night I had the happiness and honor of sharing the stage with Arturo Sandoval during his presentation in my hometown. We sang a duet of “La Gloria Eres Tu,” the famous Cuban bolero. He started playing the piano beautifully (as well as a virtuoso trumpeter, Arturo is an absolutely charming showman and plays multiple instruments) and the two of us just immersed ourselves in the absolute intimacy of the song.

Bonus points: at the Grand Rex theatre I ran into several dear friends, many of them playing in the super-band of Argentine musicians assembled by Sandoval: Gustavo Bergalli, Luis Ceravolo, Alvaro Torres; or others like Cristian Zárate and genius Alejandra Martin who came to hear the show.

A version of “La Gloria Eres Tu” that Arturo and I recorded in California is about to appear on a new album. Watch the video of the duo and see some pictures from last night’s show.
