In Denver we played at the Mercury Cafe, a sort of cultural center where dance, music, progressive politics, food and green ecology come together under the guidance of the founder Marilyn. She is an institution on the Denver cultural scene, a person who immediately inspires respect.
We did a concert in the charming cabaret space downstairs. After the show we met dancers/musicians Diana Cruz and Nick Jones who were performing at the weekly milonga that takes place every Friday in the dancehall upstairs.
Nick and Diana invited us to join their show. They improvised the most exquisite dancing to the music of our beloved Beso Azul and later we played SF Tango for everyone in the audience to dance to.
