Here are some photos from the free outdoor concert at the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival – our last US performance before leaving on a three-month Argentine tour. Thank you to all the friends who joined us!
For this gig the Tango Passions Band included: Murray Low on piano, John Wiitala on double-bass, Myron Cohen on drums, Isabel Douglas on accordion, Kevin Footer on harmonica and myself on vocals and guitar.
We were joined by two fabulous dancers: Gustavo and Jesica Hornos’s who danced on “Cornisas del Corazon” and “Vuelvo al Sur”. We had some spontaneous dancers who surprised us by coming out of the audience: Jose Maria Francos (the Argentine Technical director of the Yerba Buena Gardens Center for the Arts) who danced a chacarera with a friend.
Thanks to Linda Lucero for her enthusiastic support.
Ms. Volonté,
I came upon your performance at the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival in San Francisco this last Thursday October 1, 2009 after leaving SF MOMA. We got a
chance to sit on the grass and enjoy the last few numbers you and your group
entertained us with. I didn’t get many pictures because I only took some at
the end of the show and visibility issues. I could not figure out how to attach the images so I made a web link for your eyes only – unless you would like me to publish it as my “Photos of the Day”.
Here is the link you can cut and paste:

Best to you and yours,
