María Volonté ha sido seleccionada oficialmente por South by Southest (SXSW) 2012 para presentar dos conciertos durante el festival.
South by Southwest es uno de los más grandes festivales de música en los Estados Unidos, con más de 2000 artistas presentándose en 90 diferentes clubes en Austin, Texas, desde el 12 al 18 de marzo de 2012.
María presentará dos shows en SXSW 2012:

EL BLUE TANGO TOUR
María Volonté se encuentra actualmente en el medio de su gira por América del Norte, con shows a través de los Estados Unidos y Canadá, desde febrero hasta fines de mayo de 2012.
En el “Blue Tango Tour” María explora la profunda unión que existe entre el tango y el blues, dos géneros nacidos del deseo y la marginalidad, muchas veces censurados y al mismo tiempo siempre resurgiendo vigorosos para hablar directamente a nuestra alma.
Cuando tocan juntos, la guitarra y la voz de María inundan el escenario con ecos de esos placeres prohibidos que el tango evoca, mientras que en la armónica de Kevin resuena el lamento solitario del alma blusera.
Entre los meses de febrero y mayo de 2012, María y Kevin completarán su segunda gira a través de los Estados Unidos y Canadá, incluyendo dos actuaciones en el prestigiose festival de música South by South West SXSW en Austin, Texas y un concierto y workshop en la Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago, Illinois, entre muchas otras presentaciones.

THE BLUE TANGO TOUR
María Volonté is currently in the middle of her North American tour with performances across the US and Canada from February through May 2012.
“The Blue Tango Tour” is Maria’s exploration of the deep spiritual bond that joins tango and the blues, as two genres steeped in sin, born in brothels, repressed yet always resurgent and speaking directly to our souls. Performing together with harmonica player Kevin Carrel Footer, Maria’s guitar and vocals fill the stage with the illicit pleasures of tango while Kevin’s blues harmonica echoes with the far-off whine of the solitary blues soul.
Between February and May 2012, María and Kevin will complete their second cross-country tour of the US and Canada including performances at the prestigious SXSW festival in Austin, TX and a concert and workshop at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago, IL, among many other venues.
