Maria sang on two CDs that were awarded 2008 Gardel Prizes, Argentina’s top music award. On “Tango por los Chicos”, a benefit CD sponsored by the actor Gastón Pauls and Magma magazine, Maria sang “Cuando tú no estás” by Carlos Gardel. On the album “50 años no es nada,” she sang “Con las alas del alma” in a duet with the tango singer Raul Lavie. Congratulations to all the artists who participated in these two excellent projects!

Winner of the Gardel Prize, a Latin Grammy nominee and member of the Tango Hall of Fame, María Volonté is an Argentine singer, guitarist and composer celebrated for the intense emotion and beauty of her songs as well as for her charisma and sensuality on stage.
